While moving to a new AMS is an optimal time to ask these questions. We often see the same things – reports and customizations developed to address a business need from years past. These requirements get passed down from AMS generation to generation.

Asking these questions is a shared responsibility for the association staff, outside consultants and the AMS partner’s implementation team. Even if the requirement is still valid, perhaps there is a better way (I.e. instead of distributing the report to 3 different departments, perhaps instead the departments have a dashboard with related KPI’s delivered thru the AMS’s internal social network’s feed).
