Actually the concert footage in Christiane F. was filmed in a New York club in 1980 exclusively to be used in that film. If you compare the Bowie portion in the film to the video for Fashion, it will become obvious as the same group of musicians was used in the same location – Fashion video on one day and the Station To Station footage the next day. The crowd in the film was edited to look like they were there for a Bowie concert. In reality, it was an AC/DC crowd!

Ever since I watched “Christiane F. – Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo”, which I believe has some video footage of that concert, I wanted to get the full concert, either as audio files, or even better on video. Obviously somebody did some filming there, cause it’s in that movie! I know there’s “Station to Station” on video from this convert, unless it was another concert in Berlin that they used in the movie, not sure.
If there’s some video footage from this concert or from one of the same era, I would love to know. He really looked epic in that movie.
