David Bowie performed at the Corn Exchange in Devizes, Wiltshire, on 21 November 1969.

The booking was made by local promoter Mel Bush, who ran the Poperama night at the venue. Bowie was paid £125 for his appearance.

David then had four engagements in a row. They were at the Croydon Arts Lab on November 18; the Dome, Brighton on the 19th, the Purcell Room on the 20th and the Poperama, Devizes on the 21st. The latter was promoted by a local man named Mel Bush, who paid David one-hundred-and-fifty pounds. He later became a nationally successful impresario and in 1973 was privileged to present David’s extensive tour of the UK.
