It makes sense to define a disaster as some event preventing you from entering your building. Regional disasters and all the association consequences are too arduous to plan for, leading to too many “what if” questions. So framing the disaster as something preventing you from accessing your building, decide what services need to be up and running, who needs to be communicated with, and what information needs to be accessed within the first 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours after the event. Having an outline will lead to an effective plan. Then one to testing and revising; sustaining the plan…..Best regards
