‘Abdulmajid’ is an instrumental piece of music written by David Bowie and Brian Eno, begun during the “Heroes” album sessions.
The piece was remixed with overdubs in 1991, and first issued as a bonus track on Rykodisc reissue of “Heroes”. Although titled in honour of Bowie’s second wife Iman Abdulmajid, whom he married in 1992, its original title is unknown.
I recall working on this on “Heroes”, but it was abandoned. It’s not Low time at all. This is a heavily remixed, worked-on nineties creation.

‘Abdulmajid’ was included on both versions of the All Saints compilation. It kicked off the second disc of the original private release in 1993, and was the third track on the 2001 commercial release.
The track was also included on a five-track CD, compiled and signed by Bowie, which was included with initial copies of his wife’s autobiography I Am Iman.
Also titled I Am Iman, only 200 copies of the privately-pressed CD were made, some of which were also given away in BowieNet competitions. The tracklisting was ‘The Wedding’, ‘Wild Is The Wind’, ‘Loving The Alien’, ‘As The World Falls Down’, and ‘Abdulmajid’.
