Recording: Five Years, It’s Gonna Rain Again, Shadow Man

The fifth recording session for David Bowie’s The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars took place at London’s Trident Studios on Monday 15 November 1971.

Bowie and the Spiders From Mars recorded ‘Five Years’, ‘It’s Gonna Rain Again’, and ‘Shadow Man’.

‘Five Years’ became the opening track on the album. The other two songs remained unreleased, although Bowie re-recorded ‘Shadow Man’ years later for the Toy album.
