Davie Jones and The Manish Boys had a meeting with top independent music producer Mickie Most on Monday 5 October 1964.
The meeting took place at Most’s office at 101 Dean Street in London’s Soho.
The band had auditioned for Most the previous week at Charlie Chester’s Casino on 12 Archer Street, London.
David Bowie crossed paths with Most on a number of occasions. Peter Noone’s version of ‘Oh! You Pretty Things’, on which Bowie played piano, was produced by Most.
